My visit to Val Hood – an increasingly well-known clairvoyant, followed her latest success with readings and workshops at quest in Ewell Village where business is also booming.

The day I called, the personable medium, was getting reading for another public performance – this time at the harlequin Theatre in Redhill.

I went with a completely open mind – and for the skeptics (and I am one) I feel compelled to say a number of things came to light in my half-hour reading.

I have no doubt, this lady is psychic – how otherwise did she know that I had thousands of books unread and little piles of them on the floor littered around my house?

And there again how did she know I had just had new tyres put on my care when I parked a way from where we met?

She mentioned a friend by name ‘on the other side’ who apparently had been very fond of me and who at first I couldn’t place.

Later in the session she mentioned a plane crash and then I remembered this person (whom I’d adored as a child) who had died so tragically with his son – both bearing the same Christian name.

I felt a little spooky at this stage – but perfectly safe.

Val is a positive person and not a sensation seeker. She takes her gift which she has known since aged 8, responsibly and also teaches the need for sensitivity to those she trains.
